Good to know
Choose Booklet and the tool puts the pages in printer's order: the first sheet has the last and the first page side by side, the back has the second and the second-to-last, and so on. The number of pages is padded to a multiple of four with blank pages at the end. Print the result double-sided with 'flip on short edge', stack the sheets and fold them in half: the pages are in the right order. A4 paper gives an A5 booklet.
With Multiple per sheet, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 16 pages are placed side by side, reduced, on one sheet: handy for handouts or to save paper. Poster does the opposite: a large drawing or a poster is split across several sheets, at true size or enlarged to a number of sheets wide, with an overlap for gluing and crop marks. That is how you print an A1 drawing on an ordinary A4 printer. Text and lines stay sharp: the pages are not converted to images. Everything happens in your browser; your file is not uploaded.
