Open F3D files — free, in your browser

F3D is the archive format of Autodesk Fusion (Fusion 360): the whole design in one file, to share or to open in another account. Makers, product designers and small workshops use it a lot.

With the free downloadlink viewer you open a .f3d file directly in your browser. Nothing is installed, and without an account nothing is uploaded either — when you are logged in, the viewer keeps your file in My files.

What the viewer does with F3D files

The viewer converts the design to STEP in your browser with cadmpeg, an open reader for CAD formats, and shows the shape in 3D: rotating, zooming, measuring with snapping and a section, without Fusion.

Good to know

You see the shape via an open reader, so there may be differences; you do not see the timeline, sketches and parameters from Fusion. If it does not work, export from Fusion as STEP.

How it works

  1. Click Open your F3D file above.
  2. Drag your .f3d file into the window, or click to choose it.
  3. View it directly in your browser.
