All your files are held on secure storage in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) — inside the EU, not in the United States. They are stored encrypted and erased automatically once they expire. The full technical details are on the security page.
30 days by default, but you can choose from 1 to 90 days per upload — and on paid plans you can even set a link to 'never expire'. Expired files are deleted automatically — not merely made unreachable, but physically erased from our servers.
Paid plans place no limit on the size of a single transfer — you are only bounded by your total storage. Free accounts can send up to 50 GB per transfer.
On the free account, recipients can download up to 100 GB per month in total via the links you send. There is no daily limit — only this monthly total counts, so you can quite happily have 30+ downloads in a single day. If you reach the monthly total, your links are paused until the next month — your files simply stay put and you receive a warning email beforehand. Paid plans have more generous limits that scale with your package. That is how we keep the servers fast and affordable for everyone.
Yes. No annual contracts, no notice period. Your plan runs until the end of the paid period; after that you fall back to the free 50 GB account and your files simply stay put.
Your own web address (jouwbedrijf.downloadlink.nl) is included as standard. A fully custom domain (download.jouwbedrijf.nl) is available on request — get in touch and we will arrange it for you.
