Open GPX files — free, in your browser

GPX is the exchange format for GPS data: tracks, routes and waypoints. Garmin, Strava, Komoot and most cycling and hiking apps export it.

With the free downloadlink viewer you open a .gpx file directly in your browser. Nothing is installed, and without an account nothing is uploaded either — when you are logged in, the viewer keeps your file in My files.

What the viewer does with GPX files

You see the track and the points on a map, with the length of each track and, if the file contains elevations, the lowest and highest point and the metres of ascent and descent.

Good to know

The viewer does not show times, speed or heart rate from the track; editing is not possible.

How it works

  1. Click Open your GPX file above.
