Formulas stay in the file as formulas; Excel recalculates them as soon as you open it. Type new formulas simply with an = sign.
Cell values, formulas and number formats (currency, dates) are preserved. Visual cell styling — colours, borders, fonts, column widths — is not kept yet in this first version.
