Open SKP files — free, in your browser

SKP is SketchUp's own closed format, widely used by architects, interior designers and contractors for 3D sketches of buildings and furniture. Without SketchUp it usually does not open.

With the free downloadlink viewer you open a .skp file directly in your browser. Nothing is installed, and without an account nothing is uploaded either — when you are logged in, the viewer keeps your file in My files.

What the viewer does with SKP files

The viewer reads the model in your browser with an open reader for the SketchUp format and shows it in 3D, with materials and textures. You turn tags and components on and off, measure with snapping, make a section and hide parts.

Good to know

The viewer does not show text, dimensions, scenes or styles from SketchUp, and the display may differ from SketchUp. If it does not work, export the model from SketchUp as glTF, OBJ or IFC.

How it works

  1. Click Open your SKP file above.
  2. Drag your .skp file into the window, or click to choose it.
  3. View it directly in your browser.
