Open STL files — free, in your browser

STL is the format of the 3D printer: almost every CAD and modelling program (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Tinkercad, Blender) can export it, and every slicer reads it. An STL only describes the shape, as a mesh of triangles; colours, materials and the unit (mm or inch) are not in it.

With the free downloadlink viewer you open a .stl file directly in your browser. Nothing is installed, and without an account nothing is uploaded either — when you are logged in, the viewer keeps your file in My files.

What the viewer does with STL files

You rotate, zoom and pan the model, hide parts, measure distances with snapping to corners and edges, and make a section.

Good to know

An STL is an end product: dimensions and parts that were in the CAD program are no longer in it.

How it works
